AQUAGEO and Aguas de Cádiz present to media the implementation of the hydraulic and water quality model of the water distribution system of Cádiz. The model will permit analyze the hydraulic system behavior ensuring the water supply with a suitable pressure to all users and the water quality behavior at all points of the network under different operating scenarios, and thereby ensure a suitable water quality throughout the system.
AQUAGEO will participate in the Commission of Inquiry of Aguas de Cádiz, providing its experience on water quality behavior simulations under different operating scenarios of water distribution system, for investigate and clarify the circumstances that caused the presence of coliform and Escherichia Coli bacteria in the water distribution network and caused water supply outage to Loreto neighborhood during the months of September and October 2014.
Canal de Isabel II, company responsible for the integral water cycle in Madrid, continues to be the reference company in research, development and innovation on efficient water management. AQUAGEO I+d+i department, in collaboration with the consortium EVERIS-TREELOGIC, will develop and implement an automatic identification system of domestic water end uses from recorded signals in real time by meters. To that end, it will be developed advanced algorithms of patterns recognition and signals classification based on artificial neural networks techniques and statistical methods.
The AQUAGEO subsidiary in Colombia will support the consortium of companies IDOM and AQUALOGY in the development of a hydraulic mathematical calibrated model of the water distribution system of Cartagena de Indias managed by Aguas de Cartagena (ACUACAR). The model will permit analyze the hydraulic system behavior, thus ensuring the water supply with a suitable pressure to all users. In the same way, will permit analyze the commissioning of the new Treatment Plant “El Cerro” that it is being designed.
The consortium of companies AQUAGEO-APPLUS-TECNALIA-ESTUDIOS GIS, has been awarded the services for software implementation of energy and water demand management in buildings, industries and public areas of Dubai. AQUAGEO, thanks to its international experience in consumptions audits and efficient water use programs, will be responsible for the module of active demand management for water end use.
AQUAGEO I+d+i department will collaborate with EVERIS in the researching project Water DSS, which aim is the development of a technological platform for critical infrastructures protection in water supply systems. The project result will be the procurement of a real time decision support system in case of infringement event occurrence. AQUGEO is consolidated as one of main pioneers companies in the incorporation of new Information and Communication Technologies on efficient water management
Aguas de Cádiz S.A. will implement a hydraulic and water quality mathematical model of the water distribution system of Cádiz. The mathematical model use as a tool to support decision making will improve the effectiveness and efficiency in the management, maintenance, operation and exploitation of the system. Accordingly, AQUAGEO continues providing support to water management and operation Spanish companies to reach a smart water management.
The consortium Nip SA / AQUAGEO has been awarded the technical assistance for the preparation of the Losses Reduction and Efficiency Improvement Plan of water and sanitation services provided by SANEAR. The project plans- in the context of urban development program of Colatina, funded by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB)- to study and audit the operational and commercial performance of SANEAR; thus to support them in increasing the control of physical and commercial losses of supply system and improve its efficiency .
Madrid, 22nd October – At the meeting Bentley Advantage Seminar, Aquageo has been invited to present progresses in optimization of operational management through advanced network modeling: Applications of SCADA-MODEL connection in the efficient management of water. The experience gained in Aquageo with leak detection system in real time in the water network of Muscat (Oman) as well as through the collaboration with TRACASA, AISCAD and EMALCSA in the synchronization between system mathematical model and geographic based commercial data of the water distribution network of a Coruña (Spain), has allowed us to present users and managers of Bentley Systems our application of intelligent water management, SWaMa a smart water management system.
Together with Typsa within the consortium Lima Norte II, Aquageo contribute its experience in rehabilitation, sectorization and environmental control of the final design for the improvement of water and sanitation networks in northern Lima. The project- through multilateral funds from the World Bank, Japan and Germany cooperation- provides substantially improves of access and quality of water and sanitation services, through the rehabilitation of networks and reservoirs and automation of the management in the most challenging sectors served by SEDAPAL.
